Let me start at the beginning. Last week, I went live to talk about lining up synchronicities in your life to point you in the right direction. It’s something I’ve been using as a guidance system for a long time, and I felt called to share it with you.
When I left NBC Olympics, where I had won an Emmy, people thought I was crazy, but I knew that pursuing acting was in alignment with my soul.
And because of that alignment, I was very connected to the universe and we were in constant conversation and I was open to receiving signs and symbols to guide me.
That guidance led me to buy a theater paper in New York that I had never bought. And as I began looking through the paper, I noticed an ad for an open casting call for Tina in Tony And Tina’s Wedding, which was an off-Broadway play.
I KNEW it was for me. I didn’t know if I was going to get the part or anything; I just knew it was my truth.
So, I kept following the signs. They told me to go to Brooklyn and buy my clothes. I went to Brooklyn and brought the clothes. They told me to watch a certain movie and I would watch a certain movie to prepare for the part.
You see, the universe constantly gives us signs and symbols and steps to take. Synchronicity is the symbolic language of your soul.
So, when the big day came, I was in my element. Of the 100 other actresses who were more experienced, I got a callback. At the callback, low and behold, I got the part. They basically said I blew their doors off.
That’s synchronicity. When you’re aligned with your soul and you know your truth, you can simply follow the path the universe lays out for you. But if you’re not living in alignment, you’re not noticing them. Disconnect with our soul leaves us stuck, distracted by outside influences, and blinded from the signs the universe is offering us.
And as you’ll see when you keep reading, sometimes the universe has BIG signs in store for us when we are in alignment to see them…
But first, I want to give you an exercise to help you understand the signs and symbols on your soul’s path.
Ready?
Step 1: How do you feel?
This is one of the most important things to know because if you don’t know how you feel, the universe doesn’t know what to bring you.
And if you’re shoving down your feelings or not being conscious of them willy nilly shit is going to happen in your life. You have to know how you feel to synchronize with your life.
Step 2: What do you want?
You have to know what you want. You have to declare it, trust it, and see it. So, think about what you really desire.
Step 3: Ask your question and find a symbol.
Think about a question you have. Notice how you feel about that question. Then, scan the room that you’re in with your eyes. Glance around for a moment, and then stop. Where did your eyes fall? What did your eyes fall on?
Step 4: Get curious & ask questions…
Ask yourself what were you thinking about when that sign or symbol appeared. Were you thinking about your question? Were you thinking about something else?
Ask yourself what you were feeling when you saw the sign. How does this particular symbol make you feel? Where did you get that particular symbol? Where did you learn about it? How did it come to existence? If it was a person, what character traits do you like about that person?
Step 5: Bring it into a sentence
Bring those feelings into a sentence for yourself. Just let it flow. I’ll give you an example…
When I did this recently, I was thinking about something I’ve been wanting to write for years. There has been a lot of fear around it, so I was asking about that.
When I glanced around, my eyes went to my camera. I was in the middle of a Facebook live and I love doing Facebook lives. I love connecting with people. I was feeling a little bit of anxiety and excitement at the same time about it.
And at that very moment, during my FB live, I was being trolled by 20 men who were trying to mess it up! They were saying such awful things, which is why we eventually decided to take down the live.
But it was actually so an incredible sign. Because the camera was telling me that even this moment was preparing me to face those old fears of what people would say and how I would handle their criticism. It was letting me know that it’s all okay. I knew how I felt about the camera, so I knew it was all positive. I bought it online and it’s been one of the best cameras for me. It’s how I created the Soul Finder Academy. And it’s how I do my business.
What spirit was letting me know was the more I let myself be seen, the stronger I’m going to become, the more focused I’m going to become, and the more expansion I’m going to experience. That was the message. And everything with the trolls was a huge sign to tell me to stand in my truth on this path.
So, today, I invite you to stand in your truth and follow the path that’s laid out for you. When you try this exercise, focus on becoming more of an investigator in your life. It may not answer your questions fully, but it gives you insights to help you move in the direction of your soul’s path.
And when you do that, you’re going to experience more synchronicity.
Soul alignment is the most important thing that you can do for yourself. Synchronicity can ONLY happen when you’re living in alignment with your soul.
