What do you think when you hear the word Medium? Many “Mediums” define it as just talking to your deceased loved ones. I disagree. To me a Medium is someone who bridges the gap between our dimension and all of the other dimensions out there. A Medium channels information from your Guides, Angels, Deceased Loved Ones, Ascended Masters, Aliens…whoever is hanging out with you these days, and reveals the truth of your soul. That is a Medium…and that is the Medium I am!
I have fought the old definition of this Mediumship label for a while now, and I’m putting down my sword. I’m giving up the fight against all those old, antiquated Mediums who think that unless you are speaking to a dead relative…you aren’t doing Mediumship. Who gets to define me? Me! And God…I’ll let God define me too. 🙂
When I started doing readings, I focused mainly on Spirit Communication, otherwise known as deceased loved ones, and my readings were off the charts. Information such as my client’s father’s name and location would come out of my mouth (that the client had no idea about). That information was later proven with a DNA test, which shows that Spirits do talk from beyond. My information were things the client didn’t exactly know, and they would come back to me blown away by what they discovered. That to me is Mediumship. When you hear things that you cannot confirm in the moment, or a truth that has been lingering in your soul and the light gets turned on throwing your purpose into the spotlight.
As I grew, I continued to study, work with my clients, work on myself and I found that I naturally moved into an area of Guidance, direction, focus and clarity. Even the dead relatives were coming in bored with talking about what happened when they were alive. They started talking about you, my clients.
So I steered myself away from just doing Spirit Communication readings and chose to do life readings, and now coaching (readings with integration) and invited in all of those entities from all of those dimensions to join the party. This felt like my true authentic nature.
I knew I was changing – that labels needed to shift and I needed to grow and expand. With that a separation naturally occurred between those Mediums that define themselves only by Spirit Communication and more modern day Mediums such as myself. “Why can’t we all just get along?” I thought. But it felt to me like both sides were fighting for their right to be “right.” I struggled with my “new” definition clinging to it like a dog with a bone, afraid that someone would steal it from me and tell me I was wrong!
I did a session not too long ago, with Heather Elliott from Mindful Change and she changed my life. After my session with her, I felt healed and fully integrated. I was strong! Confident! I knew the truth of how I work as a Medium and stood in my definition, ready to heal and motivate others into powerful decisions about their lives.
Shortly after my session, I was sharing my experience with a friend and I could feel her wondering if my newfound self would stick. I told her I was determined to make it stick this time; I was never going back.
The next day, I was smack dab thrown in a lesson that would normally derail me. I had a reading with a woman and before I got on the call, I had this feeling of all those Mediums I personally don’t like because of their antiquated views I feel they try to impose on me. I started my reading with this woman and her responses were making me feel like she wasn’t receiving. Like there was a wall there. I knew she was gifted and talked to Spirits and I asked her what she did, she told me she was a Medium for 16 years and she wanted to talk to a deceased loved one.
The deceased loved one didn’t come in, so since that was why she came to me, I ended the reading. There is no reason to go further, in my opinion, if that is what you need and all you want to hear. Since I was new to standing in my newfound definition, and wasn’t able to fully stand in my power of what Spirit had to offer her, I ended the reading. She then started reading me. I didn’t ask for it. Nor did I particularly want it but she felt Spirit brought us together for a reason.
The truth is, I don’t go for readings anymore. It’s why my platform is to teach you how to read for yourself. Yes, I get Guided by coaches in different areas, but I don’t get readings. Why? Because I believe we all have the answers inside of us, and I find most Mediums/psychics don’t know how to read without projecting their life’s issues onto my reading, so I choose to just go to my Guides.
Anyway, moving the story along…she was a good Medium but she didn’t tell me one thing that I didn’t already know. She got names, exact information. But to me, and this is my issue with a lot of these Mediums, I’m wearing that information like a coat. It’s very easy to read. Tell me something I don’t know. Reveal a truth to me that has been buried deep in my soul that I need to see. Tell me something that is going to happen. To me I’d rather hear about my choices, my dreams, how to focus, the next step I need to take, where I’m Gifted, where I need to work.
Why do I share all of this with you? Because that could have been a situation that derailed me before. She was strong in her opinions towards me and did not like me stopping the reading. I did not get derailed. Instead I grew and got clear and decided to write this newsletter to let all of you know…I am no longer the Medium to come to when you JUST want to talk to your Dead Uncle. If you’d like to hear a bit from him, and know about your life and the wisdom he may have to share, then I’m your girl.
But if you just want to make sure he’s okay, and he’s not still holding that grudge over you because you went on that hot date instead of seeing him in the hospital, I am not your Medium. Let me save you the money. He could care less. He’s glad you met with that hot guy instead of seeing an old guy in bed…although you may have missed out on the cute doctor…he winks.
Trust me, the Spirits are fine on the other side. Yes, they are still working through things, but they don’t work the way we do. They have help. They have amazing Guidance. They aren’t caught up in all the material things and worried about paying the phone bill. They want you to LIVE YOUR LIFE HERE. They want to help you, Guide you, support you, teach you in a whole new way. They want you to build a new relationship with them in a new way.
Now some of you may still need to talk to the relative you loved so much, and I understand that. When my dog Emmy passed 4 years ago, I went to an animal communicator a few times to speak to her. I was grieving and missing her so much and animal communication is not my forte. She made me laugh and cry and let me know she was okay and forgave me for the times I yelled at her. So I get it! I understand why you may need it. And I would say go, go get that reading, but then move on and let your loved ones in Spirit grow. Work with them in a new way. Create a new relationship with them.
And if you want to know how to kick your ass in gear, how they can support you, what your Guides really want you to know, what to focus on, what’s your purpose today, how to take actionable steps in your life…then come to see me. That’s what I’ll be doing with you in Membership for Your Soul.
