Clairaudience is the ability to hear your Guides. It can sound like your own voice and it can be inside your head or outside. Maybe you think you have clairaudience but you aren’t sure.  Let me ask you a couple of questions and see if you relate.

How many of you have had ringing in your ears or have had clogged ears?  How many of you have heard your name called or a knock on the door, but no one was there? Or how about whispers outside your ear? Or have you been in a conversation where someone is talking but you just can’t make out what they are saying?

Have you ever experienced those moments of inspiration that just drop into your head and you think to yourself, “That is brilliant! Where did that come from?”

When my ears first started “opening up” to spirit, it began with the clogging. Then I couldn’t make out what anyone was saying to me. Even when my ears weren’t clogged, people would be talking to me but I had no clue what they were saying.  I thought I was losing my marbles! I went to one of the best ENT’s in the country, a doctor that celebrities such as Celine Dion and Woody Allen went to, but the specialist couldn’t find anything wrong with me. I kept having hearing tests, and I aced them every time.

Eventually, I just learned to live with it and the ringing went away. Thankfully, I could carry on conversations again.  A couple of years later, I started hearing whispering outside my ear. At that point, I was working a bit on my psychic ability and was really trusting the signs I was getting, so I wasn’t as afraid. I told everyone that my Angels were talking to me. I couldn’t hear what they were saying, yet I was convinced they were communicating with me.

Then things began to accelerate. I would hear my name called and no one would be there. I would wake up in the middle of the night to voices in my room. Thinking it was the radio, I’d grab the remote to turn it off. But they wouldn’t stop. I even unplugged it. I couldn’t make out what was being said but I could discern that it was a man and woman having a conversation. Thank goodness I didn’t sleep in the nude!

When I realized I was a medium, I didn’t really have anyone to help me work with my gifts so I just tried to roll with it for a bit. I went to see a practicing medium for a reading and he said, “You are clairvoyant. You can hear in your right ear and you have some healing energy in your hands.”

I started crying right away because I knew this was my truth. When you cry in a reading, it’s your truth.  I asked him for some guidance on honing my abilities and he told me which books to read and that he was starting a class soon to teach people these gifts. I was thrilled.

When I started studying, my gifts opened up so much more. I could make sense of how my Guides were working with me. My Guides started talking to me more and yes, it was in my right ear. Over time, my left ear opened up too.

At certain points in my journey, I would wake up to the doorbell ringing and no one would be there. Or there would be knocks on my bedroom wall. It was intriguing and exciting. They don’t do that so much now because they have my attention.

The struggle I had with clairaudience was that no one really knew how to teach it. At that time, there was barely any books about how to open up to it. I found one chapter in one book written by a clairvoyant. So I had to depend on my Guides to teach me and boy, did they! Now I want to teach it to all of you.
